Dear Healthy Synergy Community,

We are aware of the fears and concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus pandemic and its potential threat to the health of our community. We are writing to let you know that we are taking precautions at our office to prevent the spread of this illness.
Our staff is regularly wiping down community surfaces including doorknobs and counters multiple times daily. We are also engaging in best practice hand washing as well as making hand sanitizer available at our front desk. Finally, we are opening our group room to extend the space in our waiting area, so that individuals may create social distance as they wait for their therapists. We are taking these measures to support the safety of our clients as well as our staff and therapists.
Additionally on a case-by-case basis, it may be possible to have your therapy session with your therapist through video on our HIPAA compliant Zoom platform, particularly if you have a health concern. Please speak with your therapist directly if this is something you feel you would like to utilize. If this is the case, we also recommend that you contact your insurance provider to ensure that they will reimburse for telemedicine. Some, but not all, BlueCross BlueShield and CareFirst plans cover Telemedicine. Medicare is also currently allowing for telemedicine to be reimbursed. Please make sure your plan includes telemedicine benefits prior to having this type of session with your therapist. You can download the Zoom app for free onto your computer from, or onto your phone from the Google Play Store or the App Store on your Android or iPhone respectively.
We are also requesting that our staff and therapists not come to work if they are experiencing illness. You will be contacted if this is the case. We also request that if you are experiencing illness that you call your therapist and cancel your appointment or make arrangements to have your appointment through the Zoom platform. Your therapist will assist you with this process.
Also feel free to take any precautions that you feel are needed, such as wearing a mask, as you attend your session. It is our goal for you to feel as comfortable and safe in our environment as possible.
If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to speak with your therapist directly or bring it to the attention of the front desk staff. We will be happy to listen to your concerns and address them to the best of our ability in this difficult time. We appreciate and value your cooperation and patronage as we work through this current health threat together.
